The phrase "energy saving vault" reminds me that little by little I do conserve energy. I like that Lennox keeps the energy save in a vault.

I worried about all the spamming by brands. I "get" that they want to publicity to their brand, but how do all those tweets that "Stop by Booth 35 to get a free..." help me? They don't. Many times I asked the brand reps what they were going to do with the fishbowl of biz cards. Save them? Add the data to their bloggger files? I suspect a few bands will toss the cards. sad, really. Because the only person who benefits from the fish bowl is the pperson whoi wins. I spent money on those cards and the brands SHOULD be using the card to connect with me.

http://noteverstill.blogspot.com/ : This is the day

I didn't make it over to where you were yesterday at the reception. I wanted to. I was kind of in a daze. Like all of us were. Had to leave early to get one of my children to a dental appt. Your post made me laugh. I was a minute or two late...as always. I sat at the back on the left side, while the rest of you were in a neat group on the right side of the church. I wanted to come over and join you. I kept glancing over and wondering how many of you were thinking "What's with all of the sitting down and kneeling?" My husband is Baptist. He doesn't go to church, but will come to Mass with us. After 20 plus years of going to Mass with me, he still can't get over all the standing/sitting/kneeling. Beautiful post. Simply beautiful. My recent post Plugins for a Blog That Rocks #aff

: My Boss Is Two Years Old

Oh, your morning sounds like a rough one. I had a love-hate- relationship with my toddlers and video games. When they were loving the game it was great, but when the game was too complicated for them I became their personal IT person. And second and third kids NEVER want to play games that are age appropriate. We had lots of tantrums when my middle used the home PC as she couldn't master the mouse as a 2-year-old.

Life360 Now : British Schools Banning Skirts and Make-Up

I attended British schools from age 9-18. I wore a uniform for all but two of the years. My school had a very strict policy on the uniform. The uniform had to be purchased from the designated school uniform supplier. Any infractions of the dress code and the student would have to replace the item with a similar item from the lost and found box. I know that I didn't want to risk wearing a dirty shirt from the lost and found, so I avoided deviating from the school uniform policies.. Ewww.

: We Survived the First Day of Kindergarten

So glad that the first day of school was a hit for your daughter. We found storytime at the library to be a great way to break up the day. My youngest was my errand boy -- at least twice a week I would run all of the errands that would have been awful to do with more than one kid. Playgroups are fun. A group of us with kids in the elementary school set up a playgroup for our youngest kids. The kids got to play while the adults chatted. I took my daughter to a nature center for a storytime/science time. She loved it. She was in morning K and needed extra stimulation in the afternoons. My son was only 1 at the time, so I toted him to the nature center. We usually made it home just in time for the oldest to get off the schoolbus. I was a slave to the bus. Any activity I found had to fit in to an 8:10-3:20 schedule. It's hard to find activities that fit the schedule. Don't forget free stuff! My son and I had a blast watching the construction zone at our community center. We spent an hour watching a steamroller crush rocks. Boys!

http://www.stimeyland.com/ : Open House, a.k.a. Pandemonium

My youngest's open house was a blur. No time for small talk at all. Rush, rush, to label all the school supplies and place them in the desk, in bins around the classroom, in a ziploc bag. It was nuts The school supply kits are usually available for pickup before open house. Thank goodness I only had to do the sifting and sorting with one child.
