It must be so hard for you to have a disease that has no set way that it impacts your life. It's great that you are spreading more awareness through your blog. Stigma really does so much damage to so many things.

I've been in a bit of a motivation block lately. The notes section has been overflowing with ideas and I have all but written the posts in my head but when I think about actually doing it, there is nothing. I'm just not feeling the love. However I am trying to fake it until I make it, but taking some of the pressure I put on myself off.

Great post! I definitely understand the frustration of seeing a crappy accent being put on by an American or British actor when there are so many native actors who could fit the bill.

I haven't had much luck with selling stuff online. I seem to always get the people who want to pay unreasonably low amounts for things. Such as a garbage bag full of toys in excellent condition for $10, a woman asked if she could have it for $5! A friend has had better success though. Her and her husband go to the local trash and treasure shop and find toys etc that are a little worse for wear. Some of them look bag, but there is actually nothing wrong with them. They got a vtech computer for $5 and the only thing wrong with it was the batteries had leaked. A clean up and they were able to resell it. They let their kids play with them first and once they get bored, the toys get sold. The kids love having new toys every couple of weeks!

What a life it sounds like your mum has lead. You are so lucky to have such a strong woman to look up to. Unfortunately most of the women in my family don't 'believe' in feminism.

One of my friends goes to a woman who does something that sounds similar to what you experienced. It's not something I have tried but listening to your experience is fascinating.

I love these taking stock posts. I think it's so easy to get caught up in the day to day that we forget to look at the big picture. I hope that you are loving your creative writing course!

I think I have thought about running away more as an adult than I ever did as a teenager. Although the reality of it comes flooding back and I just get on with it again. It must be hard for you to live so far away from your family. I often say that the best thing I did was move 700km away from my family (and often that is true!) but then I find myself jealous of friends who have parents to take their kids for the day or who have lunch with their mum.
