I applaud whomever is the winner, but the judges & hosts laid it on thick about Jennifer's injuries and her 'tough sacrifices' to be in tonight's show. Give me a break. ABC knew they'd have a mutiny on their hands if Bristol won. Again, not contesting the results, just stating my opinion.

Episode 2 tonight was another breathtaking experience. And I'm already hearing animal-rights activists heads exploding all over the globe over this "cruel" treatment of the fish. Excuse me, but how do these idiots think food gets to their tables? Are fish & beef born in nice, neat filets in sytrofoam trays, shrink-wrapped in Saran wrap? I don't think so. As Sharron Angle would say, "MAN UP!" This is the way pioneering folks STILL hunt, gather, and feed their families.

I agree, John. I began respecting him so much more when he wondered why gays wanted to "marry," when they already had "civil unions." He said (paraphrasing) "why do gays have to push for marriage? that's not for us.. we have civil unions." Too bad Whoopie never pointed that out when bashing Prop8.

Shirley did get railroaded, and I'm wondering if the NAACP tried to punk the TeaParty and BG.com. They've got the 43 minute video posted up on their YouTube page, and Shirley CLEARLY talks about how that experience with the white farmer made her realize she was caving to old stereotypes and bigotry. In the end, she winds up championing for the white farmer just before they seize his farm in Chapter 12, saying it was then that she realized "hey, it's not just black.. .it's the poor." Yes, she does talk about white/black disparity, but this video CLEARLY does not show the same meaning intended for us to perceive by the person who sent Andrew the "clips." That's just MHO. But watch and listen for yourself. I did, and I agree with Glenn and Andrew - Shirley was shafted, and the smelly fish in the room is the Obama adminstration along with the NAACP throwing her under the bus so quickly. Something just isn't right about this.
