Wow, what an incredible story, and an incredible journey you are on with your daughter. People lack so much understanding and empathy; it's incredible. Although I do not suffer from anything as difficult as dsypraxia, just three days before I went to junior high I severed the pointer finger on my right hand, my writing hand. Needless to say, I could no longer write. And even though the evidence of my injury and disability was as clear as day, it didn't stop a teacher from forcing me to write, which opened my stitches and caused me to have to go back to the ER. Some people just refuse to listen, to understand, to work around a problem to find an acceptable solution for everyone. They feel that life, while hard for others, shouldn't have to make their own lives harder, and they do their best to avoid having to do anything that would make their own jobs more difficult. Know that you are doing everything right, because you are her mom, and you know best! Kick someone's ass if you need to, my mom sure did ;)
