9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Apple resellers update iPad signage to acknowledge possibly misleading 4G branding, customers emaile

I knew all along that this thing was not going to work on the Aussie LTE networks. Why? Because it was written on the Apple site. Not very hard I dont think. This is just typical behaviour of people who balls things up and want to blame someone else for their stupidity.

So does it no longer suck like the previous versions then? Do I still need to hop to the Safari web version for things that dont work so well (or are otherwise non existent) in the app?

Not a fan of the App Store deciding how much I'm allowed to download using my 3G connection. It's my bits! My business. Even if they up to 40MB, I don't care. If I go over my limit or get throttled or get charged extra it's MY problem. No one else's. Most they should have is a warning saying "App is xxMB" and prompting me if I wish to proceed or not.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : iPad 3 incoming, WiFi + 3G iPad 2 models facing supply constraints and shortages at major retailers

Disagree I'm sorry. Many people (myself included) will buy an iPad 3 just because it is there, LTE, WiMAX, homing pigeon or otherwise. Remember the first iPhone? That was only 2G when 3G was well and truly established globally. LTE and friends are not, so it makes more sense to _not_ have LTE as far as Apple is concerned than what it does to _have_ LTE.

9 to 5 Mac | Apple Intelligence : Passware: Filevault can be brute force cracked during the span of a lunchbreak

So the password is pulled out from RAM? Therefore the Mac needs to be switched on, and logged in. The password/key will NOT be in RAM when it is turned off. Therefore when the cops are kicking your door in, simply turn off your Mac, the key is removed from RAM and when they cart if off to do their tests all your arms dealing and drug trafficking info will remain safe(ish). Just dont re enter the password when they are standing there :) Notice I said "safe(ish)" - nothing is infallible.
