We watched it in glee class! My thoughts on the matter were less that it was a miscarriage of justice (as everyone else, parroting their parent's opinions, espoused) and more: why are we watching this in glee class?

I do 2-3 loads a week for one person (lights, darks, sheets, plus an extra load of towels and lunapads once a month), which seems excessive, but I teach and practice hot yoga several times a week and thus have many costume changes during the day, and also I have a w/d in my apartment. I air dry most everything I wear. If I had to schlep to a laundromat, I would stock up on undies and do one monster load a month.

Well, of course you aren't. People change within relationships, and you have to make the choice to grow together, over and over again, through communication and compromise if you want to stay together. It sounds like he's putting a lot of effort into every part of his life but your relationship, so it makes sense why the relationship isn't making him happy. If he says, "I'm breaking up with you," then you do have to accept it, but if he's saying he's not happy and you think there's still something in the relationship worth fighting for, then you'll need some help. Couples therapy? Big hugs.
