Are you a parent Jaycee? I mean I can't speak for how you are doing things but your idea of what's the norm isn't what I see with the parents I personally know. Your attitude however makes me wonder what kind of childhood you were exposed to. Hope things get better for you!

It's not an easy decision to make. In the end we all are just trying to do what's best for our kids. I'm really glad to hear that medication has been so helpful for your daughter! I've talked to people who weren't diagnosed with conditions like ADHD until they were adults and once they started treatment it was like a whole new world for them.

Thank you so much Shelley. Of course I thought of all of you while I was writing this. XOXOXO

The one thing I forgot to mention in my post, that I will mention now, is that when my daughter was in the hospital and extremely distraught I did not hesitate at all to say yes when they offered to give her a dose of Ativan to try and relax her. She needed it so desperate it. And we also have a bottle of it at home just in case. We haven't had to use it but I am really grateful to have it on hand in case she ever gets to that point again.

I had so many clothes that Molly never even had a chance to wear because they grow so fast! I guess the trade off was I did make a few bucks selling them at a consignment sale...

We really are! Reading the article (linked in the first paragraph) about the history of " bottle" feeding is really eye opening.

I use to be so lucky with contests! Not necessarily twitter parties but online contests. For three years my average winnings were about $10,000 a year. Now I might win a Timmies card here and there ;) I guess my luck ran out :(

Hi Jennifer, there are various way to do that in the absence of an RSVP list. There are a few online apps that will generate a winner based on the hashtag usage. Here is one example:
