Either we'll continue to drag this war on into a stalemate or escalate it with ground troops at the expense of American lives and dollars. On the off chance that we win the war, we will then have to back up these rebel forces who were far weaker than the original regime and had ties to Al Qaeda and the Mujaheddin. Libya is not going to hire us; we're going to be sinking our own money trying to prop up whatever regime comes out of this and attempt to chase down the Islamists we just helped. Stop using taxpayer dollars to pay farmers to not farm. That would circulate more money into the economy, reduce our deficit, and make food more affordable.
