It just occurred to me that Hannu and puppy Fox have a lot in common.

They both take the "get out of the immediate problem with minimum effort without any consideration for how short the time will be before the quick fix causes a worse problem" approach.

With his human form, Ville has been given number of human skills... speaking ( English/ Finnish), walking on two legs, manual dexterity that takes humans years to learn. The archery skill may just be dream world.

But there's a lot else he needs to function independently in a human world... reading, for instance.

I hope he got bootstrapped with all that, too.

There are several I really like..

Tales of the Questor.... updates irregularly, but there are years of comics.
Freefall, already mentioned.
Schlock Mercenary
Girl Genius
The Whiteboard
A Miracle of Science ( like this comic, a single completed story)

"Run away and become a drifter"? Puppy Fox really is a moron, like his mother said at the beginning of the comic. A drifter in Kokko's dream world... Where Kokko had said there is no other living thing. So.... what is a mortal fox going to eat? And even if he were to find bugs or something, does Puppy Fox even have a concept of that "lifespan" thing that mortals are subject to? How long does a mortal fox live, anyway?

Why shouldn't human-Ville know how to make fire? Seal-Ville knew how to swim; bear-Ville knew how to climb. It makes sense he'd have distinctly human type knowledge. (I note that he's doing the " make fire with sticks" the way that's much more likely to work, rather than the silly rubbing two sticks together that was in all the old cowboy movies.)

Bows... They have bows. Now to see if Hannu knows about using a bow to make fire.

Foxes are pretty strong smelling. Nobody in the house had any trouble at all smelling the two fox pups my sister caught once.

What do the Fox say?

"Um..hi."

What do the Fox say?

"Can we talk this over?"

What do the Fox say?

"Mom, I've like totally learned my lesson, can I have my powers back? Now?"

What do the Fox say?

"Yi yi yi yi yi yi yi yi"

What do the Fox say?

"Aieeee! My tail!"
