I've been wondering how you have been adapting. What a change it must be to leave your majestic mountains for prairies. Sounds like you found a bit of peace. I can't wait to hear more about it!

I struggle with the same things about moving home, but have the added complexity with my carrer. There isn't much available in Kansas City for me and I would be taking a step back or sideways. Although part of me dreams to just quit this 'working' thing and sew all day long and maybe learn more about photography! I suppose I could do that if we moved back to the midwest.

Best of luck on your travels and packing! I know you will have many warm arms waiting for you in Kansas City when you and your family arrive.

Yep. I was a Hazel Grove Hawk. I can still sing our school song if you get me tipsy enough. LOL

I grew up in Lakewood (Beechwood drive) and my parents still live there! It was great, probably better now that there is more stuff near by. When we lived there the closest gorcery store was the Price Chopper off 50-hwy. I love the fact that Lakewood has 3 private swimming pools, sidewalks, etc. Stuff we don't have here in MD that is for sure.

*sigh* Hang in there! Hopefully your move will mean being closer to family. Can't wait to follow your story as it writes itself!
