Hello Lisa :)
I just found your blog and have been enjoying it immensely. We have 5 bio children, 1 adopted and are on the verge of getting our first foster babe. You are very encouraging and I find myself really relating to a couple of your posts on the "calling" to adopting/fostering. Thanks so much for sharing your life, I look forward to getting to "know" you better. Blessings :)

Oh Ralph Moody books are the absolute best! Definitely a tearjerker at the end but aren't all good books tearjerkers?

Thanks for sharing Ginny. I think its funny that people are so curious about your age. I too have 6 kids and am 30 1/2 and look like I'm 12 so often, people have no issues in asking me "how can you be old enough to have 6 children!" I just laugh and say well I am!

Anxiety is a tricky thing, I mostly hate it but am so far into it before I realize whats happening. Multi B is super helpful along with my EPA/Plex. Thanks again for sharing its good to know us moms are not so different from each other after all :)

We are always planing and changing our hs'ing plans. Especially when your expecting a new person in your family every couple of years :)Often times I feel overwhelmed by my own negative thoughts about not getting enough done, but then, one of the kids says something and I think Hey! where did you learn that? and I remember that I am certainly not the only one teaching them. Our kids are learning that life is learning and it does not start and stop between 9 and 3. Whether its a math lesson or an interest our kids will be equipped for what ever God is planning to use them for now and in the future and if they do seem to miss something important, that we don't catch, they can learn it when they need to, that's what life lone learning is all about :)

we too are in the same boat. i have one celiac son, and a couple others dealing with hyper activity and impulse control issues. but i have recently decided to read scripture and really learn what the bible says about food as its our highest authority, as well as eating things in moderation. we will continue to avoid wheat and gluten, our sons life depends on it. cost is another issue all together especially with a large family. we have a huge grocery bill and i'm not sure how to combat that other than realizing our bodies are the temples God gave us to care for so maybe food should something we are investing a large part of our income on, it matters more that our bodies last then our homes, cars and properties, right?

I too find the longer you wait to introduce "learning" to read, the better and faster they pick it up. That's just my experience :)
