I see. I was only familiarized with the "make a wish" theme, first time I hear of that other symbolism, so it's interesting.

Any source/link for the confirming statement? I can only find "yes it was confirmed" pages in Google, but nothing else.

I don't know what to think of that "barely playable" so I'll just assume we have played different games or versions of the same game. O_o Edit: Not trying to be condescending, just that I (nor anyone I know that played it) have never seen much of a problem with Iji's gameplay.

I know of Dust but sadly I don't have a Xbocs. And no, as I said I wasn't aiming for a gold standard, just something that may approach the same style, mechanics or other elements so it'd be fair to compare with. Iji isn't even a recent game, it's almost a decade old.

Uhm, not impressed. Though I understand it's an early stage and we can't really judge properly by now, just with this trailer doesn't seems very appealing on animations or mechanics (the few mechanics it can be seen, at least), nor does it seems very fluid or "fast paced".

And mind, I'm comparing with with Iji, an indie game of a similar kind (seems to me, I don't wanting to be unfair on comparing but my knowledge on indie games isn't either THAT good) made by just one guy (trailer here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33mxD4FjD3w ).

I'm completely unable to say anything bad about FF IX or Xenogears (except maybe the beginning of the 2º disc, and the developers weren't to blame for that anyway). I just can't.

FF X, though, makes an excellent paperweight.

"We're going to see how it stands up over a decade later." Damn well. It's only problem were the lot of fans expecting specifically a Final Fantasy game story, when in fact it's a pretty decent movie overall on it's own. Not the greatest, but it doesn't need to be.

And better than FF7 and FF8! There, I said it!
