I don't exactly know why the split season came about but it seems like recently everyone is getting into it. It leads to some excellent "midseason finales" but I still don't know if I like it.

I have been rewatching it with a friend, he knew that she died, thought it might be in "It's not the fall that kills you" (which is the episode before it...) but I was sitting there all through "Eighteenth & Potomac" dying of feelings without saying anything.

Better late than never! If you haven't read them, Edna St Vincent Millay and Djuna Barnes are great, and as an Aussie I've got a soft spot for Nettie Palmer and Lesbia Harford. And of course there's no going past Katherine Mansfield.
