I go back and forth when it comes to applying foundation. Lately I've been using the Crown Brush Blender because my face is super dry right now. (Buffing foundation in with a brush just accentuates my dry spots.) I also like to stick with light coverage over the spring and summer months so the blender is the perfect option. I agree with you regarding cleaning it though--what a beeyotch! And you're right--it never looks clean.
