What's awesome is that they've actually corrected the spelling from 'kool' as it is misspelled in the brand name to 'cool' as god intended it to be. I wonder if they did that on purpose, in a fit of pique about how misspelled brand names are the downfall of our society...

Hard to say, really. In OC, I'd probably go up to the folks walking in & chat with them about the event, smile at their kids, make a donation. In DC, perhaps I'd sit beside the praying man & meditate on world peace or something like that.

This is one reason why I am way too involved in the PTO. My hope is that those of us who believe we can raise this next generation to something better will be able to shield them from this kind of ignorance.

It should be noted that most census crew leaders and even field office supervisors were only hired by the census about one month before the enumerators. Some of the confusion seen was simply at not having been trained (in the past month since they were hired, themselves) on how to deal with payroll discrepancies.

As a matter of fact, all enumerators are given a phone number to call to contact the payroll department themselves, if they have issues they need resolved. I wonder if he ever called that number or if he, maybe, wasn't paying attention during training, when that matter was discussed.
