Hey Uncle Richard, thanks for the note. Totally jealous of your Greece adventures, even if it is for work. I spoke with Randy the other day and talked about bringing Michael out to Washington for the December holidays. Either way, see you sooner than later, I'd suppose.

365 4 5 : 167/1,825: Poetry and Building a Cult

thanks - impromptu poetry is always good... except for when it's not. that book, the evil book, is a complex installation in our culture; it speaks to the realities of human history, the motivations of so many historical figures. but, you are right... there's something twisted about the whole thing. fortunately, life has given me the choice to be a good man... and with few exceptions, i've opted for the kindness and compassion of humanity. but, we are confronted with a choice in every human interaction. and, when that one person comes along, the one that is trying to play games with my life, to take power over me, to threaten a way of being happy and present, i will not loose. the one advantage that i have over this book though, is that Buddhist readings have cushioned this text with a layer of compassion... and that i understand detachment.

Hey, Shark. Thanks for the comment... and correction/adjustment. You are right... Sexual Freedom is for all. It was a multi-gendered event, though heavily populated by Gay Men. Glad I didn't let the 'cop' get me then. And, how dare he try to pick on me if that was the case. That's rude and disrespectful to target.... if that were the case.

365 4 5 : 100/1,825: Finding Happiness is my Religion

that's a great way to see it "choose to be happy, regardless of what's happening in your life. And happiness will therefore be given unto you." Practice is the kicker, thought, cause it means that you have to develop some really sound, positive daily rituals. Love the nose :-)

yeah.... but the problem is not really the bible. it's just a book that got a lot of attention. the bigger issue is with the myriad of interpretations. and, human beings are so damned literal too. they can't always take a metaphor or live in contradiction, because so many people are just looking for "the answer" and want to be told what to do next.
