I have to agree on most of those assessments. I will slightly disagree on the CM Punk-Sting front though, because on thing has been left out from the career accomplishments and booking topics: He managed to successfully be booked for almost 18 months as a silent protagonist to a heel Hogan from mid-1996 to 1997. As much of a fan of Punk that I am, I do not think he would be able to pull off such a feat (which really plays into the belief that how wrestlers are booked now when it comes to a long-term plan is a joke).

Sting managed to stand in the rafters or the crowd and just stare, and it got him so over when it came to the fans. For a man that had a stellar career up to that point, it just pushed him over the top. On a side note, Punk was gold when it came to his mic work, but he wasn't platinum until June 2011. I would compare his work in his indy days though because if you YouTube that, he is still gold before the WWE found out about him. All of this can be compared somewhat to Sting's lack of mic work during the beginning of the 'dark Sting'.

In all, I think Punk would of won the battle still, but it would have ended up like a "52-48" split, very close. Still love the article series though.
