What a guy! Love like Eddie's makes the world spin round. I need to stop the warm fuzzies.

You should push some of your google ad revenue this month to Eddie. Come on, Kristen. You OWE it to him ;-).

Thank you so much, Alison. I did want to tell this story with a name and with a face. Stigma, yes. And that's "ok" - we don't want society to glamorize it - but it kind of does, right? Look at the covers of the magazines. In the same month you can see a model on the cover of "Shape" of "Self" Magazine and the next month she is in the same bikini in a magazine asking "Is she getting TOO skinny?" Flip flop to the next month where she is in People's Most Beautiful people.

It's perplexing for an educated adult who should "know better." Society will always be doing what society does, and unfortunately we have not reached a point in our evolution where most people in our society can look past the surface and see that light.

And for that reason, I tell my kids about their light every day. Ok - tonight I also told my daughter that Santa wasn't getting her a Karaoke machine too, but for the most part I talk about her light. Ya know?

Much love, sister.

Hmm. This is tough. But as a girl who would have waited at a Six Flags concert to watch The New Kids on the Block for 12 hours back in the day, I still have those I would do it for again.

1) U2
2) Mumford & Sons
3) Jon Stewart
4) The Dalai Lama

In no particular order. Ok, let's bump the Dalai Lama up to the top. Now. we are good.

Right now, we still celebrate with my mother in law and I don't get to rule the roost on this one. She has a plan and we go with that. But that pumpkin thing in the glass - whatever it's called? it looks really good. I would totally crash your house if I could ;-)

Happy Thanksgiving, Leslie!

You inspire me to live a life that's flying too close to the sun. You might get a little burnt, but I'd rather have lived with my kids and exposed them to life than keep them hidden in suburbia without any exposure to the world.

Go ON Girl!

Keep flying

I love the look of the dark cork the best. It has a warmth to it - the sound reducing qualities are key. I liked the bamboo that was out of your price range :-( and wasn't crazy about the really busy bamboo. The other bamboo chances are solid but my fave is def. dark cork.

Ha. I loved your post from yesterday enough - glad it went straight to video :-).

The one I hated to hear the most was: "we need to get the white back in the White House"

Immediate defriend in my book. Delete, delete, delete.

What's so bad about that? I think I would like to know what some people, even if its a marginal population, think. These are fellow Americans who have the same right to vote as me and I want to understand what opinions people who vote (trust me, these are examples, but I have heard and seen many like this) that I want to counter with my vote. Just like voting is a privilege - speaking about what we all hear is something we should be allowed to do too.

If this keeps you off Kristen's blog, that's definitely your prerogative. But I am glad I was not alone in feeling like there was a lot of ignorance being displayed pre-election.
