I'm glad to hear someone else say what I've been feeling. I DO think we need more movies that show witches as real people, but like you, I still enjoy a lot of what's out there.

On the other hand, the Biblical/Shakespearean version of witches led to the witch hunts and the torture/murder of many good witches and innocent people who weren't witches at all. Most of them were just guilty of being female. So our fictional portrayals are important in helping to shape public perception. For that reason, I do think it's very important that we have stories of good witches. Better yet, stories that show that witches are just people, and that magic is neither good or bad... it's shaped by the practitioner.

Niina, I was traveling all day and never got a chance to check in. But I've got a link up on my blog, so hopefully someone will come take a look. Thanks for a great review and interview!

Hi Carol,
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I just wanted to send you a hug and tell you to hang in there. My husband had emergency triple bypass surgery a couple years ago, so I know this can be a quite a shock. We did discover that it helped to have both of us present for all medical meetings, and to take lots of notes. Good luck with everything.
