You can build your own website, Jodine, knowing just the basics and then add more complicated applications when you need them. WordPress makes it easy. Plus, It's so freeing to be in full control of your own site. After all, you are the owner and should know its inner workings. Once you get the hang of it and take care if the basics , the real fun begins. Adding all the bells and whistles. Good luck, and feel free to send any questions my way.

I'm glad to know that you agree with much of what I've said, and especially that you use WordPress. Just speaking from experience.

I hope so, Vic. If one starts slow and takes it one step at a time, building one's own website is doable. After all, I did it, and, as my family will attest, I was a technological greenhorn when I started. Being in control of one's own website is a must in the long run. We make so many changes as we go along, and no one has our best interests in mind as much as we do. I'm sharing what I learned on the way to save others the headaches I had when taking all the wrong turns.

Thank you, Robin, for an interview that brings to light the many talents of Rea Nolan Martin.

Rea and I think alike (no surprise, since we both write visionary fiction), though expressing these thoughts as clearly as she does is, for me, a challenge.

Her work not only entertains, but uplifts. I love the humor weaved through her stories. When asked for an example of good VF, I immediately choose her books. The quality of her work speaks well for the genre.

Some of my favorite quotes from the above post:

"After all, science only accounts for the physical world, a world that is ultimately unsurvivable."

"For me, love is the only authentic take-away from any religion—or it should be. No matter how I worship, if in the end I fail to love the least of us, I fail."

"The unifying factor in all of my books is the expansion of consciousness, because why else are we here?"

I appreciate your - and Rea's - contribution to the VFA.

Thanks so very much, Rosi, for directing me to the website: Writers Village. I bookmarked it as a place to return to often.

Thanks as always for the great links for writers, Rosi. I especially liked the one about showing emotion and moving beyond the face. It was nice seeing you at CWC April 3. Wish we'd had more time to catch up. Maybe next time.

Thanks for the links to the great posts on revision, Rosi. I'm working on revisions now (seems as though I'm always working on revisions), so Janice Hardy's series is very timely.
