I go off the internet completely whenever I travel, and don't miss any of it. But I haven't tried limiting myself access to some parts of it. I can't access FB from work and I am not allowed on Pinterest from work, so that's most of my day off of those sites anyhow!

We used the Your Life in 6 Words thing as a young adult display (I work in a library) at another branch. I think it went pretty well once a couple of staff members started it off. We need more YA stuff like that.

One of my co-workers did the mirror thing just last week, but it was her last day and now she's gone. I've tried very hard to come up with "stuff" for fun for us as a group, like a photo contest (barely had any participants at all) and a couple of other things, but mostly they have not been successes.
I'm not sure the add and pass thing will work because there are already a lot of times when we have to do that as a birthday card for someone, but maybe some variation on it. I'm thinking of putting up a blank sketchpad on the wall so maybe that can be the same sort of thing. Two of us are already artists of sorts. But there isn't really time to sit and draw unless we're in a meeting.
Anyhow, I'm going to keep watching and think of something... I get evaluated for stuff like this... Appreciate your attitude and suggestions.

I keep a journal for my granddaughter (she's 4 1/2 but she won't get it until she's an adult). I used to write family stories in it, but now I just keep a record of what books we read and what we play when she comes over on Sundays.
That's about all I have time for, but the project itself is in the third or fourth journal now, so that's not too bad!

I guess my remedy for blogging addiction... that is, the part about thinking that the blog is SO important... is to go read about 50 new blogs every week. It sort of puts my stuff into perspective and keeps me from posting anything that has been said a hundred times. Of course, that's still blogging, because then I'm researching blogging. But I have a real reason to do it, right?

Facebook is bad enough, and with all the recent changes, I'm thinking of boycotting that for a while. But only if all of my friends do, too, of course. I have a twitter account, but no phone to go with it. It's always links, links, links, and who has time to follow all of that? Twitter is where I draw the line. So far, nobody has missed me! Loved the milk dispenser photo. I remember tandem nursing and how unevely sized I was during that year!
