Ahhh, so lovely - we have had the reports here today and have the whole bursting with pride thing going on too. They will love looking back and reading this in the future x
Oh bless! I recall my first residential trip at school and how much I got out of it personally. Mind you one of my teems once got asked to go on a school trip skiing in America - and the cost? 3k ! And that was just a normal secondary school not even a posh one!
Ah I have all this to come! Such a bittersweet thing parenting isn't it? You want them to grow and develop and yet keep them close forever! x
You are so right, knowing the monthly budget is key! We do a weekly budget and take out the money for each week in cash so we can SEE when it's being spent quickly - no popping the odd thing on the bank card. Works wonders and helped us save up for a house extension in under a year!
I check the use by dates religiously I must admit, having one had such bad food poisoning that I had a weeks spell in hospital - it's made me rather over-cautious!
I love a good curry - and you can't argue that 25p is flipping good value!
Oh nom nom! This looks like the sort of thing I could make just before a walk in the woods to take with me!
What a great selection of advice Cass. I find that if I explain to Kitty and Ozzy when I am feeling tired / ill / tetchy that I'm not feeling very good that they modify their behaviour and in turn everyone is happier - honesty helps!
I flipping love the attitude of gratitude - it's easy to get bogged down with negative shizzle - no better time to focus on the good!
I am so coming back to this in 5 years time!
