Isn't that the truth Kala? It's the same for us Italian moms, especially the food and poop part. :)

I'm big on hugging when I meet up with someone and when I leave. Always hugs. Always "I love you." :)

This is the perfect recipe for these cold winter days, and I remember my mom's pie, it had tons of stuff in it too. I like your recipe, quick n' simple and it looks really yummy. Thanks for posting.

I agree.. I think these parents, any parents really, because autistic child or not, parenting is not a picnic and often times we're put in that "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation and it's tough. I applaud this woman's honesty. I do not applaud her behavior towards her child and I too feel the Dad should get his ass up off the couch and help out. Bottom line. I feel for the kid.. And the mom but mostly the kid.. It's really heartbreaking..

Absolutely this makes sense. And I totally get that sometimes there are so many comments that it may take into the next day to acknowledge them. We all have lives, we get sick, have to work, we have kiddos n' pets and family and friends outside of "Bloggerland." But more and more I'm see those no acknowledgement bloggers and they're typically the ones who whine the loudest when someone un-follows them.

Piper, could you leave me a link to your blog? Thanks!

Thank you but this was really more of a vent than an advise column but I'm happy you gleaned that from this post. :) Thanks for stopping by!
