So sweet! i think that some organizational skills come genetically and I did not get them. My daughter who is 7
is all of a sudden concerned about how I package the groceries in each bag. I guess I don't do it organized to her standards. :)

That is great! Way to go!! I think that we could do it but I want to get a netflix box to watch movies on the tv so in fact we won't. We have never had cable after the girls were born so in portland we had it disconnected and i watched the guy come out and do it! :( Then when we moved farther out of town we had to get the basic cable to watch pbs and the few news channels. So my kids go to friends' houses or the neighbors and they watch these shows that we don't have. Most of the time the tv is off from 11 a.m. on because there isn't anything on or no one is home then to watch. I can't watch the news because they mention sex abuse every other story. :( So all in all it's a good thing and something that you can reward yourself for! We used the extra money a long time ago that we had been paying for cable to go out for dinner or an inexpensive concert, the bookstore etc. You should have a special treat or meal or something to do the same.

I am glad you made a cake for yourself and imagine I would cry if that happened. If your girls would have known it was your birthday I am sure they would have done lovely things or given you extra hugs and a song. My oldest daughter thinks it is weird if I don't have a cake and a party with hats pretty much since that is what she does.
