Well, first of all Louise, hello from just up the road... I am one of the developers working for StepChange on top of the Merrion Centre in Leeds City Centre... I'm also a former colleague of a member of your team (Naomi).

Perhaps I have been lucky, but I don't think PDD has been so prevalent in my career in recent years... One thing I thought was great about working at thebigword was their concept of a "cakeable offence" - leaving the premises having broken the build being a common one. The idea is, if you're found to have done whatever, you have to get the cakes in for the team - typical cost between £5 to £10. It's public, but it's a nice way of saying sort it out without having to get to managerial. It also self polices!

Anyway, pleased Naomi has found herself with a manager as thoughtful as you appeared to be in the interview. Please give Naomi a slap, and remind her that I tried my damnedest to get them all to to listen to Hanselminutes when we were at Enserve...

I presume by “Old electoral laws” this idiot is actually referring to the Representation Of The People Act (1983). They might feel that age is somehow a barrier to credibility / enforceability, but they are quite mistaken… Of course, if it was felt that you were likely to use this tactic against Dorries, she would have a cast iron option when it comes to thwarting your evil plan – namely not making any false statements about you.

Of course, that's not quite what happened, is it? Instead we have the Shefford hustings affair.

I also note that Mr. Idiot seems to be using a spell checker tolerant of the American spelling of “realised”.

“We also know the law back to front and will never once breach it.”. Really? I would have thought Blackmail is flying a little close to the wire. Doing it in writing, especially on the internet where logs abound etc is a nice touch… Threatening a concerted campaign of online harrassment might be on somewhat squeaky ground, legally speaking… Threats to “continue to affect your ability to live contentedly amongst us” are ill-advised, and let's not ignore that the inclusion of “continue” means that this is essentially an admission of guilt once the poster is traced (and he will be)...

Amazing...

Truly amazing...

They not only fail to act against the protagonist (Dorries) - they actually side against the victim - and thereby continue to allow an MP to deflect legitimate scrutiny that might well uncover a crime.

Well done Met - not.

Martin.

Actually, I wouldn't have thought that this would be libellous - it's merely to expression of an opinion. We should also keep in mind that the very same opinion will have been formed on the back of what #Dorries has told them - which of course may or may not be in any way connected to what we might refer to as reality...

I'm sure this doesn't need saying Tim, but only a madman would wade in against Carter Ruck with an allegation of libel.

Under the circumstances though I do feel you have every right to demand to know where this information that you have been causing trouble in Guildford / computer hacking comes from, and to make representations to both the Information Commissioner (I know... I know...) and the Law Society if they are not forthcoming...

To my mind, the only circumstances in which they could withhold that information by citing legal priviledge would be if the information had been supplied by Dorries herself. You can't expect Carter Ruck to immediately fact check everything that their client tells them - although frankly if they're not fact checking the hell out of now then there's something somewhat amiss with the world...

Oh, and as you know, IANAL...

I used to be a scout, and don't remember scouting being a particularly religious movement. Maybe my leaders were a bit naff eh?

OMG! But won't someone please think of the children lol!

Odd that the Enhanced CRB checks that you will doubtless hold for this role failed to pick up on your former exploits as the terror of Guildford / computer hacker extrodinaire...

Still, this can be easily explained by the accusations of your past exploits, as indeed so much that your accuser ventures forth with, being utter bullshit...

That's horrendous Humph... I wasn't previously aware of that episode.

My sympathies...

I like the way you "moved from being an internet stalker" to gate crashing the hustings (by prior appointment lol...). The implication is that you are now stalking her in a physical sense, rather than someone who just sort of, well, met her ONCE...

Point 8 is extremely important - she's not funded solely by her own consituents, and therefore feel only they are entitled to bring scrutiny to her conduct in office.

Delighted that you are going to be able to start setting the record straight on all that Dorries has claimed.

Her blog might get a bit more interesting...

Well, I am not a fan I'm afraid...

An endless (though I accept well meaning) campaign pursuing her personal beliefs on abortion, at the cost of constituency issues I suspect (Covanta). A willingness to make stuff up (Radio 4 Any Questions appearance and the famous "Cannabis is now 50 times stronger than last year..." claim). Claiming to be a Christian and yet having an affair with a married man - who was married to a FRIEND... There are many, many reasons why I don't think much of Ms. Dorries...

The biggest issue for me though is her relentless vendetta against the blogger Tim Ireland. I've investigated that quite closely, and I have come to the conclusion that she has used the police in an attempt to intimidate someone who was bringing (quite effectively too) scrutiny to bear on her.

Does Tim obsess over her? No. His views on Dorries are, like my own, fed by her behaviour.

I'm looking forward to the day when Tim can release the details of the police investigation, because they reached a very interesting conclusion, didn't they Nadine?
