Cool rug! Love the colours! I no longer compromise. If something isn't right, I won't buy it. I now go for items that are the right size/shape/style etc and I'm prepared to do work to make it beautiful! Sod buying things that just don't work - here's to no more half-assing it!

I could do with one of those giant shoe baskets as all of ours are in two big cardboard boxes, which doesn't look very nice! I started off by lining all the shoes up neatly under the radiators and on shoe racks. Then I found that not only did it take up lots of space, but you had to regularly dust the shoes that didn't get used very often. Who wants to dust shoes?! Really liking the cushion covers too.
I haven't been thrifting for a long, long time. Currently working on getting the garden looking pretty for the summer, so the pennies are going on super cheap plants and pots. Don't know why I bother as we will probably have the usual cold and wet British summer (AKA a second winter)!!

I have bought more skirts. But I don't have the right shoes to match! I need a nice generous person to hand me a big wad of cash so I can buy a new wardrobe! Then I'd get my hair cut. The last one was in Nov and I look a mess. Don't worry about the skype (as I said - I look a mess)! We will have to get out arses in gear and do good old fahioned snail mail. Or maybe postcards will be easier?!! As for tuppaware, my local Chinese do take-out in perfect sized plastic containers. So that is my excuse to have more Chinese food as we really need more storage containers...

It's spooky how similar your list is to mine! My number one at the moment is to buy bedroom furniture. I'm fed up with living out of bags and boxes! But as that is expensive, I think de-cluttering and donating items to the charity shop will be the easier option!!

Haha I like stories like that. I sat at a table and bench set on one thrifting trip thinking wow this table is ugly and stuck in the 1980's. The same table and bench set is now the centre peice of my kitchen after having had a major make-over. Everyone loves it!

Hello stranger! I've been away even longer than you. Can't say I've been doing anything productive - just TV and erm, TV. I would say I'm ashamed but that would be a lie!!
I've always used Bloglovin'. Tried the Google reader once and hated it! You'll get used to it eventually. I have my blogs sorted in order of priority, and yes you are at the top :)

Ahhh he is so damned cute! Does he have a name? I'd call him Humphrey. Not original, but I like it!
