I read some western historical romance, but it's not one of the sub-genres I read a lot. I've read some Linda Lael Miller and Lori's Rock Creek Six series. Thanks for the giveaway. I'm looking forward to reading Lori's newest series.
Hands down, my favorite pregnant heroine is Police Chief Marge Gunderson (Frances McDormand) in Fargo. She is the sunshine in that dark comedy. Your book sounds like fun; thanks for visiting.
I've never considered gossip to be positive. My Hubby's family is so full of gossip, it drives me crazy sometimes!
Congrats on the new release. I'm retired now, but a common trait in two of my favorite bosses of the past was routinely getting (and valuing) direct input from the work group about what worked and what didn't.
Well, I love sports, so enjoying romances with athletes as heroes isn't a far stretch! There is a certain inherent vulnerability to someone who doesn't know if people appreciate him for WHO he is, instead of for what he does. That makes him understandably skittish about relationships. As readers, we get to see lots of layers uncovered.
I love sports--especially football. I've read a few sports-related romances, but not too many. I'll have to look up the V.K. Sykes books. Thanks for visiting.
I enjoy small-town romances. Among my favorites are books by Jodi Thomas (Harmony series,) Jill Shalvis (Lucky Harbor series,) and Kristan Higgins. I like it that everyone seems to know and care about their neighbors.
Thanks for the post and giveaway.
I'm most drawn to the characters from Flirting with Disaster--newly sophisticated Katie who wants to prove her worth in a security firm, and formerly geeky investigator Sean, still crushing on Kate after all these years. They sound hopelessly destined for each other. I can't wait to read more.
Yay for New Orleans chefs and weddings. Can that city eat or what? I'd love to read both books, but of course I'd want to start with Scrumptious. I'm off to check out Amanda's website now, for recipes! Love the wedding cake.
Congrats on your Big 3. Here's to many more!
