Read it. Loved it. As you pointed out, one of my favorite things about the book is that there are no cartoony super villains. Everyone is very real, which means they have good and bad traits that don't necessarily cancel each other out all the time. Also, I think that if this becomes a movie, Joe Manganiello (Alcide from "True Blood") should play the husband. Yep.

First, thanks for the book suggestion! I read The Artist's Way last year and it really helped me slip back into good writing habits. I'm open to another re-awakening.

What a great idea to use the Jet Blue offer for a book tour! Glad you're taking advantage of that. As far as cities, I think you should go to the following cities in your month of travel: Orlando, Charlotte, Baltimore, Boston, New York, DC, Pittsburgh, Chicago, (Too bad they don't go to Detroit!), New Orleans, Houston, Oakland/SF, LA

Nice! When I first moved to NYC six year ago, I purposely left the television back in Michigan. I had a laptop, so I still stayed connected and aware of stuff, but I did not have the added distraction of 15,000 channels. It was pretty great. I got a lot more work done and I found that I stayed in touch more. I had more time to call people and have actual conversations. That lasted for almost two years. Eventually I moved in with my then boyfriend (now husband) and he had a tv, sooo.... I applaud the cable-less (or even tv-less) life. It's really not that painful and generally leads to more productivity and social interaction.
