ABOUTDAMNTIME! 'PBO today has signaled he will, after years of refusal, sign an executive order banning anti-‪#‎LGBT‬ discrimination by federal Contractors and their Employees. The President has been asked for years, mostly by grassroots LGBT activist organizations like GetEQUAL, and by HRC, but until now had refused. President Obama had long hoped Congress would pass the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA), but Speaker of the House John Boehner has steadfastly refused. The Senate did pass ENDA last year. ENDA would be a nationwide law, not applicable only to federal contractors (That would enshrine Religious Discrimination as Legal.. WE DO NOT WANT THIS ENDA! )
