Setting up a new machine is a pain. Because the one you had is set-up the way you like it. I kept my PC around a long time. I didn't play newer games on it anyway. And to play like old sports managment games and scanlating, it worked fine. I even kept it when I started having trouble booting up, and I would have to boot like 10 times before it stuck. And even then the graphic accelerator would crash and scrolling wouldn't be smooth anymore. Only after it crashed even more and I had backed up all the settings, written down passwords and programms, I went out and got a new one. But that one I picked the parts myself, instead of just bying a stock model. Choose intel as well. The i5-2500K works really nicely, but unfortunately it costs a bit more. I paid 1400 bucks for the tower alone, so you can bet I'll ride that thing to it's last leg as well.
