I picked up a pamphlet of old pie recipes from a thrift store not too long ago and found the same thing, the recipes were so unclear I didn't know what to do with them. I never tried to make any of them. I'm sorry the older recipes didn't work for you, but the recipe you did come up with sounds great!

Starbucks baked goods are a weakness for me too. I have to be very careful not to spend all my money there! This recreation looks amazing!

Yum! I love the Irish Cream glaze. I wish I was organized enough to get holiday food posts up before the actual holiday, but it rarely works out for me. I hope the corned beef turns out!

Anything with browned butter is always good. I know what you mean about overlooking the simple things, it's good to go back to basics every once in awhile.

I was actually thinking about doing a meatloaf post, but chickened out because I couldn't figure out how to get a good pic. Probably for the best because me recipe wasn't nearly as flavourful as this one sounds!

I had a friend in high school who hated chocolate, she found it bitter or something. According to our science teacher at the time it was something genetic, like the gene that makes people dislike brocolli. I'm very glad I don't have that problem!
Tiramisu is one of my favourite desserts, your version looks really good!
