Hmmm... well, it could be a mashie. Or, it could be a niblick. (?) On the other hand, it might be a divot-diver. Got me.

All is quiet in my little hermitage on the hill. I guess those nifty little sculptures are the lids for tankards.

I had forgotten that picture. Not to worry, though. I saved it in several places. Fun to see those old pictures again.

Elizabeth

The Heritage Foundry : Jim DeMint Addresses Heritage Staff: "This Is a Homecoming for Me"

If he isn't installed until April, we are going to have to find ways to educate and promote long before then. I am convinced that we don't HAVE that long to start getting the message out clearly and repeatedly.

The Survival Mom : 28 Baby Steps for Any Prepper

Go to the craft section of any store, or to JoAnn/HobbyLobby. There are books galore that have not just instructions, but needles, accessories, and lots of know-how. Select your yarn, and go practice! (That's how I did it years ago!) Good luck, and enjoy!

$25 worth of junk silver is only about an ounce and a half (if that) at today's prices. Find a reputable dealer and buy as much as you can afford, and do it more than once. Junk silver is pre-1965 silver coins: dimes, quarters, halves, and dollars. It is not sold at face value but by the ounce, so you need to make sure you are getting REAL silver, and try to buy as much as you can afford. For water storage, here's a nifty little gadget at a reasonable price:

Big Hollywood : WE LOVE PIXAR: The Secret Ingredients

Nemo--Pure EYE CANDY. so-so story, but who cares? Gorgeous to look at. Toy Story 1 and 2: STRONG Stories, strong characters, great stuff. Incredibles: WOW! Off the charts: strong stoy and characters, unique design, and hilarious dialogue. Cars: Meh. Nice. Pretty backgrounds. UP: Awwww! Great little story, excellent design. Etc., etc., etc. I know I missed some, but the idea is that Pixar knows how to make movies that captivate, entertain, and get their point across. As Leonard Maltin said years ago, "If a movie doesn't accomplish what it set out to do--that is, to ENTERTAIN--it's a failure." Pixar has found the magic key to open that treasure. Long may they reign.
