Unfortunately, no. We aren't a coalition of guilds, but of people. We have people in vanity guilds, many in roleplaying guilds and some in no guild at all! (I was one of those until recently.) This announcement has pretty much spelled doom for us on all counts. I hate to think that Blizzard itself is going to force us to break apart when we've been so successful for over two years now.

Can I just, I am -so tired- of that whole "oh, your poor epeen, boohoo" excuse when confronted with 25-man raiders who are upset? Obviously we have no honest concerns other than our egos! /sarcasm Geez...

There is no reason you can't be a 10-man raider purely. 10-man gear is perfect for running 10-mans. They are easier to run, less headaches, fewer wipes, less of a skill spread, etc. 25s take more time, have those 5 people who will wipe you on Defiles, are just harder to coordinate... Rewards should be balanced around effort. More effort = more rewards. Otherwise, just give 5-mans the same rewards at raids.

@ HP: My comment to you got eaten. :o But I think you're right on the money about guild progression being the "carrot" to keep us in 25 mans. Which will utterly fail in my case, since I'm in a coalition. :P I wasn't happy when I heard about the guild leveling set-up to begin with, as it unfairly penalizes coalitions to begin this, but this change (if it stays in) will put the final nail in the coffin.
