They say that but if he's in the area, he'll be used. Even if it is only to show up at the end for a stand off with either Brock or Taker to set up Wrestlemania.

I guess I just imagined Vince McMahon winning the Royal Rumble, main eventing King of The Ring in 2000 in a six man tag match and beating Triple H himself for the WWF championship.

No it's because he's in bad shape and lacks drawing power. People would pop for his return but what then? What about when he can't wrestle like he use to? And when he takes a spot from another rising star? This is an audience that turned on Batista for the same reasons, you can bet it would happen to Kurt too.

Look, Kurt probably came to the WWE last year looking for a Rock or Lesnar type of deal. Difference is that when The Rock and Brock Lesnar left wrestling they made big names for themselves outside of wrestling so when WWE uses them, even sporadically, they get mass appeal to a casual audience. Kurt left WWE, with a drug problem, and went to TNA, which has significantly less reach than either Hollywood or MMA. At this point, he can draw a few TNA fans and maybe get a nostalgia kick, but he just doesn't have the mass appeal that Rock and Brock do.

What probably happened is that Kurt reached out, Triple H countered with a Rob Van Dam type of deal for significantly less money and more dates than Kurt wanted and they couldn't reach an agreement. Long story short: No grudge, just business.

While, yes, ratings are probably better than actually reported to a certain margin, this isn't about ratings, it's about morale. It seems likely that this has come up because Dixie has noticed some workers talking about rating and viewership backstage and possibly wondering if it's worth sticking with TNA. In an attempt to curb that sentiment, Dixie is telling workers to ignore online reports.

Yeah but you dont see actors getting hurt and not telling directors in case they lose the role. They tell the people in charge and either they work around it or amicably depart. It doesnt stop them getting blockbuster roles later and the director still works with them on other projects. Not so in WWE where injuries cause wrestlers to be bundled down the card and never given the same opportunities again. Bryan came back, as over as ever, but he came back too soon because he didn't want to lose his spot because thats the environment WWE has created. Also in acting, you can leave one film and join another. Leave WWE and you're stuck without a job until your non-compete runs out.

At the end of the day this is showbiz but its also a sport and WWE need to stop pretending it isn't. They need to look after their competitors and allow them to rehabilitate in their own time without fear of repercussions.

But that's also the fault of the WWE who have created an environment where people don't feel safe to take time off or admit that they're hurt. WWE doesn't have long term plans for wrestlers so when one can't compete they just completely change their focus and start pushing someone else. Triple H and Vince need to create a safe environment where wrestlers can feel confident about admitting to health issues without it negatively affecting their career.

Regal and Edge would be good. And Trish or Lita for the Divas. Or if they can't get a veteran for the divas, they already have Sara Del Ray down there so it'd be a perfect fit. If Edge is too busy acting, Christian would be good too, especially since they seem to have nothing for him to do but pre-show round tables. But other than Austin, I think Kane and Regal could really teach the new guys how to wrestle well and consistently. But I think Regal would be funnier and help add to the entertainment factor of the show.

How to give the Divas a chance? WWE answer: Add more divas.
That's not going to fix the problem. Get the current roster in line before adding more. They need more time, better storylines and dynamic characters. There's no depth to the characters or their feuds, which limits their ability to captivate and engage an audience. The NXT girls are good but there's no point in bringing them up to have them wrestle 2 minute matches for not being pretty enough or not dressing the right way and overcrowd the division. They need to build characters and stories, real stories, until that's the standard before they bring anyone up.
