Hey Wondering. Take a read through this article, and check out the comments too - should hopefully help out. http://leftyfretz.com/should-i-learn-guitar-right... I'm an advocate of playing whichever way feels more comfortable - why make things harder on yourself? For a little extra choice in guitars? Please.... o.0

If you Google something like 'Guitar Fretboard Notes' you'll get an image, e.g http://www.guitar-theory-in-depth.com/image-files... The stickers are laid out in the order you should be placing them, an image shouldn't be necessary.

LeftyFretz.com : Gaskell Guitars : Left Handed Guitars 2011

The 'exciting new colours' will be introduced at some point this year - something you would know if you were signed up to the Gaskell newsletter! What's your excuse eh eh? :) I love the natural finish it has right now, it's a little more unusual. It looks even better in the photos Kevin took of the guitar with his models - does that guy have the best job in the world or what?! In saying that, the new Charcoal Burst should look killer. I really hope to try one of these some day and it'll be between the natural and black unless they introduce some more finishes by then. For now I have a lemon yellow All-Rounder with maple fretboard in the works - you know me and my love of colour! Looking forward to joining this exclusive club, will be nice to show something off to my righty friends that they CANT get their hands on for a change ;)

LeftyFretz.com : Should I Learn Guitar Right or Left Handed?

Like you my right hand is also stronger than my left, although my left has more precision and control - I feel this makes me the perfect candidate for playing left handed. I think having the stronger right hand is a result of living in a world designed predominantly for right handed people - using right handed tools and whatnot. This is why it annoys me when I see right handed 'veteran' players telling lefties to play right handed so that they have their stronger left hand doing the harder fret work - it's such a generalisation. My right hand is stronger and in the style of music I play the PICKING hand absolutely has the hardest job. If you have a tiny budget definitely buy used. This way you know that you will always be able to recover all of your money when you sell the guitar on. As long as you look after the guitar it shouldn't depreciate in value. Sorry I can't really help you with which way to play - that's a personal decision that only you can make. Read through the article and make an informed decision on your own terms :)

Hi TKder - take a read through this article http://leftyfretz.com/restring-right-handed-guita... At a pinch it will get you by, but if it's an option a proper lefty is the way to go. My classical guitar is actually a righty that I strung upside-down with no modifications - it gets the job done B)

LeftyFretz.com : V-Picks Guitar Picks Review

I've actually switched back to the Tortex Jazz IIIs now. I found that the V-Picks got a little too slippery now that the weather is warmer, I tend to get a little sweaty when I play. Do you order yours from the States? I'd still like to try the small pointeds, and the Dimension Junior sounds like fun - did you go buffed or unbuffed? The guy from Sik Piks offered to send over some hand twisted ones but he didn't want me reviewing them since they weren't the final production model. I'll look forward to trying these when they do surface though :)

LeftyFretz.com : Gibson : Left Handed Guitars 2011

A little update for those asking about the Les Paul Studio Faded. Gibson has now said that this model is no longer offered left handed. A shame as like with many others, this was the only model from this year that really interested me. A copy of an email from a Gibson employee... "Unfortunately, we no longer offer the Faded Les Paul Studio models in left-handed. We apologize for the confusion, and we’ll have any misinformation corrected on our website." That comment was 2 weeks ago and the Gibson website still lists the guitar as being available left handed.

I couldn't find the photo, but one of the guys on the Facebook page posted a photo of his acrylic guitar. I believe he got it from China and just upgraded the parts - there's always a few of these lefty acrylic guitars knocking around on eBay. Here are a few http://instruments.shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=%28l... The guitar plans looks great actually, I hope you will share the build progress with us! :)
