Ah, but not all expensive whisky is good.

I'd say socks are important to consider. I recently bought some primark socks and had bought for me some clavin klein socks. There's a world of difference, wear nice socks, your feet just feel good.

Also, if you're a vodka fan, try Konik Vodka, its very, very good neat from the freezer with smoked salmon. Try it.

Good old Paul Chambers, the man's a saint and the laws an ass.

wrt tsa, (YHTMAAAIYP!) I think people in Britain are less bothered by the pat downs. I mean, I'm quite a vain person, and I've never imagined anyone getting their rocks off patting me down. One of those cultural things where identical behaviour is less negative in some places than in others.

I'd rather we didn't have to go through this theatre every time I board a plane, but I rarely feel sexually harassed by it.

Come off it. You sound like a looney anti-Catholic from the 1830s or anti-Semite from 1905. They were wrong, you are wrong. (BTW, no I'm not calling you an anti-Semite, merely pointing out that your arguments are the same as theirs were, they were fallacious then, they're fallacious now).

With respect to the heresiarch's post it is odd that Islam is considered the second most eveil religion by definition, but not that odd. There are only two religions with a truly global readh, Christianity and Islam, perhaps Brown merely saw things that way. Its hard to get worked up by Hindus, despite the awful things they have done in India, or Shintoists or Bhuddists, or animists etc.

The Markets seem to be saying... no. Not even a whiff at the moment.

Yes, I am unimpressed by Nelson's latest. That the man sat down and planned this to be in the NOTW, rather than an off the cuff blog post, makes it all the worse. Shame.

I think you are reading too much into the FSA e-mail.

They screwed up big time, really big, and they are covering their collective arse.

There is no way in heaven or on earth it will be illegal to sell eggs by number, that they are still implying it might be because of some bureaucrat shows how desperate they are.

The interesting question is, how many psychic/magic/voodoo attempts are there out there trying to predict world cup results?

My prediction is dozens.

My assumption is that we only hear about successful psychic/magic/voodoo attempts

If the octopus selected at random, then we wouldn't have heard of it.

Publication Bias in Octopuses.

That sounds a like an academic paper I'd wanna read.
