Those cabins look like something out of a Wes Anderson film! How refreshing to have good food on a ferry, or at least a choice, my experiences have never been that good!
I've never heard Hamburg raved about it, but from your enthusiasm I might give it a go! I much prefer small villages to cities, but I love the sound of the people there.
Sounds like a wild day! Champagne, cake, vikings, bright costumes - ticks all the boxes for a good party!
I've been inspired by so many things I've read over the past year and really hope I can actually start following up all the things I've bookmarked!
I just discovered a shop in Italy that sells sour cream (it's really difficult to find here) so this recipe is definitely on my list!!
Good luck with all you do next, it definitely sounds like the right decision! You can't live in a place which is negatively affecting your health, that's for sure. Anyway, you stuck it out for 3 winters so nobody can say you didn't try! I look forward to reading about your next journeys and adventures!
I just found your blog through Wanderful Wednesday and had to read more about your life - I am so impressed and humbled by how much travelling you do even when you are living with pain and illness. I really hope you continue to travel and as much as you can (and write about it so we can follow you!).
That's a beautiful story - the fleeting friendships you make while travelling are so precious, and probably that German lady told her friends about you! One thing I love (and sometimes hate...) about Italians is they will always start a conversation, particularly on trains! I've heard many a life story on my way to work.... #wanderfulwednesday
Ooh that looks magical inside, all those lights are going on my wish list! I've not been to Prague but this is now on the agenda for a future trip :) #citytripping
