Small sacrifices add up to a lot! Thanks for this lovely inspired post!
I agree, pets are so healing. There is something about that snuggly unconditional love. Enjoy the cuddles and some ME time for you too. Pros and cons of everything - I'm in the same boat of having my youngest child in PreK, no more babies here for me :( and :)
I remember The Secret! Yes, this is a similar notion - have the attitude that things will be the way you want them to be, make the choice. It was so nice to see you last week! I can see how you are a positive force in your family :)
OMG, I am rolling on the floor laughing right now!
Good for you for forging the right path for your family and life. The voices in your head for parental approval never quite die down (at least not for me), but we all have to balance expectations with reality. I'm a work at home mom too (law practice/entrepreneur) and it has its benefits and its stresses, that's for sure! Your mom should be super proud of you!
My oldest daughter is only 6, so I'm not quite there yet, but you are right - girls will get a lot more information from the Internet. How different it is today than when I was a teen or tween! It is good to hear from a mom of teens that moms can still be a great resource for their daughters.
Thanks for participating in the SV Moms Group Book Club this month!
