I need to work off some of the winter (or last year of my life...) hibernation as well. I love me a breakfast smoothie and now I just need to "sneak" stuff (bc he will eat everything he finds himself) into Dan's freezer so I have supplies no matter whose house I am at. ;)

I love a good soup when it is cold. It got really cold up here in PA fast as well. Apparently Sat night there was a 5 min blizzard in some parts near where I live. I'm excited to snowboard soon, but it could wait a little bit more before getting into sub-freezing temps!

I didn't think I could run for the longest time, and now it's definitely one of my favorite activities. Same with soccer. I learned to play in high school when one of my friends at my new school told me I should try out so we could play together. I now play way more than I ever did back then!

I've been "casually" tracking calories since I put on a little extra weight this spring. It definitely helps to check in periodically with how much I actually was overdoing it (oh mindless snacking, the bane of my health efforts). That being said, I rarely let myself go under a net of that's definitely well above what I've seen some plans advertise. It's a fine line when it comes to counting. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it brings out too much OCD-ness in me and I forget that I'm supposed to enjoy the food I'm eating (luckily that habit I left behind a long, long time ago). You definitely made good points, and honestly if my numbers stayed the same but I replaced some of the fat with muscle, I'd be totally happy. :)

I would have totally lost it if my cats brought on that level of destruction. The worst they've done was break into a cabinet and devour an entire bag of mini bagels and english muffins. No purses were harmed.
