Great points. I wrote a post similarly a few years back where I shared how people can show autism acceptance every single day, not just for a single day or week once a year. It's so easy for people to change their avatar colour on social media and feel they've 'done something'. but it does nothing for autistic individuals or their families.

Those stories you have shared are so true. I'm still trying to get over losing my Dad to cancer in late June. He fought laryngeal/pharyngeal cancer for 6 months but it was too aggressive for him, even after sacrificing his larynx to try to beat it. I learned so much during his fight. I learned to appreciate the little things. To never say never. To savour every day. And to not put off now what you think you can do tomorrow - because tomorrow may never come. I'm in awe of your fight Trish - whatever that horrid disease throws at you, you are there, determined to fight it off. Hope your recovery from the hysterectomy is smooth and your treatment for the melanoma goes well. P.S try not to laugh TOO hard over the next few weeks x

I really like your blog name and I enjoyed reading about your thoughts behind it. I recently blogged about my blog name too - My Home Truths. Luckily it is as relevant now as it was over 3 years ago when I set it up. I like names that don't box you in or give people an expectation of how it's going to be. That's why I think you're name is great, as well as alliteration of the words too!
