Wow. I am forever galled by people's inconsideration on the internet. To own up to hurt or frustration created by slanderous and abusive comments is also to be bullied further. I think Lillie's analogy about home, or the respondent's one about the private lake, is very accurate. In this day and age, however, it's harder and harder to note the boundary and necessary respect that should be given. I'm reminded of the beautiful scene in "Atlas Shrugged" where Hank Rearden finally stands up to his brother, his saboteur, and gives an ultimatum for continued residence in his own home. His brother says "I can say what ever I want" and Rearden says: "Not in my house." [totally paraphrased and butchered, but the sentiment is there.] And so it should be. House rules and all that. Personal responsibility and culpability for actions are only things viewed as unnecessary by tyrants. Glad Lillie "showed them the door".
