I agree to a point, and of course we advocate for awareness and, more importantly, acceptance all year round. But I do think that autism awareness day/week/month/whatever is an extra chance to shove it into the spotlight and under people's noses, to say "we're not going away - our children are still autistic! We still need support!" Will things change? I hope so, but we have to keep pushing all the time :-) #TheSatSesh

I lose my shit on occasion. Probably less than I could though! I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to feel as though you're letting your child down and being disloyal. But, you're not. We're not. Parenting a child with a totally different neurology is a tough gig, but we got this ;) #thesatsesh
