The Wild Hunt : Paganism, Solidarity, and the Way Forward

I've never understood why anyone would associate the word Pagan with only Wicca. It's always seemed to me to be an expansive enough term; large enough to also include any Polytheists, Recons, Animist, or Heathen communities out there. For the life of me, I don't see how a label one uses for the purpose of simplification, could be equated with a dogmatic straight-jacket. It troubles me that the divisions we are seeing, might weaken our efforts towards gaining the basic civil and human rights which members of "the big three" are so used to expecting, for themselves. I would love to see the day when we can experience a National Conference of Pagans, Polytheists, Syncretic Religions, and Indigenous faiths. But without greater unity, I wonder if it can be achieved.

The Wild Hunt : The Mask of Understanding and Concern

Wonder how quick she'd jump ship, if offered a more lucrative deal from Pagan publishers? Sorry, just the pessimist coming out in me, but we've seen it from certain authors before; courting the highest bidder.

The Wild Hunt : Let's Hear it for Animism!

Being a "hard polytheist" myself, it's very encouraging to see animism given something of it's fair share. Rarely do we come across even a vague defense of that point-of-view and spiritual system. Keeping ourselves and society in right balance with Nature seems the only reasonable approach to life's ills (to me); at least there are more writers willing to explore those venues. Refreshing!

There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of criminal stupidity. I'm revolted by these heartless monsters and I'm so glad that I have the group "Save a Cat" on facebook to go to and get my mind off these jerks. There are good-hearted, caring people out there who do wonderful animal rescues every day; if only these asses had TOLD someone! I don't know if this link will work, but it's worth a shot if people find these precious cats good, stable homes. http://www.facebook.com/SaveACat

At every screening point at all major airport hubs in the US, there is a lovely button which all TSA agents can quietly press for whatever reason, in order to alert DPS officers to any potential or perceived situation. Within seconds, TSA has immediate access to DPS (Dept. of Public Safety) who have the power of arrest and detainment. Like Apple said above, that is power. And power, as we all should know, carries the potential for abuse. None of us are so god-like and holy that they cannot be corrupted or even look the other way, when encountering abuse of power. Even your imaginary, perfect TSA.

Ms. Bucci, as a former supervisor with the TSA, I regret to tell you that your vehement proselytizing is doing them no favor- in the least. Your obstinacy towards those here who have been traumatized shows a distinct lack of concern for the well-being of those travelers who need to reach their destination, with as little humiliation as possible. The rules have simply changed, whether you'll admit it or not.
