This is such a sweet post. Travelling with children versus the strain of being without them. I really identify with it. Over from Blog Gems too.

http://www.mellowmummy.co.uk/ : Simple Tips For Choosing Christmas Presents

The old toys are often the best. I am afraid i did live my life through my little ones - I bought them the till and the shopping and the post office that I nagged for and never got as a child! Resisted the John Bull inky printing press though for obvious reasons. It didn't work...

TheMadHouse : Spending cuts to hit the North Harder - but what will they mean for you?

It is scary to think what wednesday's cuts will mean to local services, and offering 15 hrs to 2 year olds is just something they think will soften the blow, knowing as we do already that it is women, and single parent families that will once again be hit hardest. I really support the idea of getting people into work but 1) bringing up children IS work and 2) politicians are doing a job they chose and presumably love that is well paid. I cannot in my heart say someone should take any job no matter how unhappy it makes them. Life is too short and depression too harmful...

TheMadHouse : Encouraging Children to be Walkers

We found the best way was to play Lord of the Rings and be Orks and Hobbits. Someone got to be Gandalf with a long branch and we could go for hours without them realising they were getting fresh air and exercise. When they wised up to that it was Treasure Trails, brilliant town and country walks you can download off their website. Lovely pics BTW!

My daughters barbies were always naked, had tangly hair and were generally used in Amazonian type fights with various tribes of beanie babies. Happy days. x My recent post The Gallery 31 – Does she know it’s Christmas

The Diary of a Frugal Family : Detention....

Sounds like she feels really emotional about the whole experience. I would just suggest she take a deep breath before she does anything when playing the game in the future. I would only go further if it happens again. Sounds like the whole group needs to have a chat about rough play, not just your daughter... Looks a mischievous sweetie to me!
