Bruce,

I think it is awesome that you are utilizing social media to share those extra thoughts & gain feedback. Social media is about adding to our current relationships and that is exactly what you are doing. Awesome!

Please share with us your new blog once you have it set up :)

Thank you for including the example of how you were able to see what God was doing, through the missionary you supported, via Skype. I completely agree with you - "Technology is such a wonderful tool in aiding the flow of information." It is so true!

Chris, it is wonderful that you have been able to use social media to reach out to people outside of your circle and create those deeper connections. That is exactly what social media is all about! Reaching out and becoming closer. Thank you for sharing, that is very encouraging!

What/where is your blog?

Wanda,

I think it is wonderful that God has inspired you to start your own blog. Blogging is defiantly a powerful tool we have been given. And I agree with you about photo blogs. Both photos and videos leave a lasting impact on my heart for sure! Here is an article I wrote a while back about how helpful video blogging can be in conveying your message: http://bit.ly/r1EfsO. Please share with us what your blog is when you have launched it :)

Paul, that is the perfect example of what inspired me to write this article. I look forward to being able to follow you during your time in Kenya. God bless your journey!

I think that it is awesome that you are focused on helping people grow more comfortable in conversational evangelism! I had a bible study leader who worked with The Navigators and really helped me feel more comfortable talking to others about the gospel, but it is still something I seek help in. I look forward to reading your article :) Welcome!

Hello everyone! :)

This year I graduated from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business and I am now living around the world as a trailing spouse with my husband, a US Air Force medic. We are currently stationed in Del Rio, TX.

I seek to help others use social media to connect their faith based community. I believe social media will assist you in spreading the gospel and teaching the word of God while sharing testimonies, life lessons, joys, and personal struggles with people in your community. I am somewhat new to the social media scene, but have already learned a lot and enjoy finding new ways to connect.

I am currently the Social Author for Salty Waffle’s faith based outreach. Please see my blog here: http://bit.ly/kSpjXB. If you would like to follow me on Twitter I am @FaithNetworking http://bit.ly/mT0oNT

I am striving to make this a two way conversation, so please hit me up anytime :)

I do think schools should be incorporating social media into their educational systems. Not only is it great for collaboration, as you stated in this article, but it is also a great way to teach children how to use these online sources now. Social media is a growing trend that will not go away. By teaching kids how to use it at a younger age they will be better equipped. Like the gap between my ability and my grandma's ability to use a computer, children of this generation will be social media whizzes by the time they reach adulthood if it is integrated into schools.

This is a really good article. I didn't realize that Facebook took things out of the news feed. Thanks for sharing!
