Anne Heche has been married to a man, has had several documented relong term relations with men, currently James Tupper, and also with at least one woman, Ellen DeGeneres which lasted 3 years. This demonstrates an "an enduring pattern of attraction" to both sexes. Hence she fits the definition of bisexual.

You are confusing innate attraction with the choice of action. Do you think you can make yourself be gay and be attracted to men? People may leave the "lifsetyle" as you put it, but I submit that they do this by not acting on the attraction they still have, and generaly confess to still having. For example Ted Haggard has said he still has to "avert his eyes" from men sometimes. Do you have to do that in order to not be attracted to them? I suspect not. Bisexual is not "sleeping with both sexes", it is being ATTRACTED to both sexes. I know several bisexual women living with a man and having children together. They are being monogomous bisexuals. Of course Anne Heche is bisexual since she is clearly ATTRACTED to members of either sex. If you think you have a choice, you may be bisexual, which could well explain your externally directed hostility to LGBT people.

Acting on attraction is clearly a choice, but the attraction is not. We are animals and we do have innate properties such as gender or sexual orientation. Anne Heche is likely bisexual, which again is not a choice, though it does mean she has a wider choice or partners. Whilst the use of the phrase "pansy-ass" was not something I would have done, it scarcely constitutes bullying. Dan Savage is a controversial figure, known to use language which upsets some people. If I went to a talk by Bryan Fisher I would expect to hear some things I didn't like.

Absolutely right. It is the treatment they get from people who more often than not feel justified in attacking LGBT people because they believe that they are morally flawed. This belief comes from their interpretation of the bible. Indeed the right wing in some states has tried to get a "religious exclusion" from anti-bullying laws in schools, for example. I don't see atheists or LGBT people trying to get special dispensations to bully Christians. This attack on Dan is a distraction technique to cast LGBT people as the aggressors, and draw attention away from theGOP "War On Women".

I have seen the video and read transcripts. Criticizing the bible is not bullying. This lame attempt to recast Christians as a persecuted class is totally without foundation. Furthermore, many of the attacks on Dan Savage are quite clearly intended to denigrate LGBT people, and the multitude of "thumbs up" on such comments are disturbing, shameful, and only serve to reinforce Mr. Savage's point. Hostility to LGBT people stems from outwardly directed self-hatred, religion, or both, since there is no rational justification.
