You seem confused. In the 1995 video, Barack Obama does NOT "admit" (distortion #1) that his "mentor" (distortion #2) was "communist agitator" (distortion #3) Frank Marshall Davis. He merely reveals that "Frank" (from "Dreams From My Father") was Frank Marshall Davis. By misrepresenting his video, you have created a straw man. There was never any doubt (since 2008) that "Frank" was Frank Marshall Davis. The point of contention is his influence on Obama. Cliff Kincaid's "Obama's Communist Mentor" disinformation campaign earned his ironically-named "Accuracy In Media" (AIM) THREE "Pinocchio's" from the Washington Post fact-checker (see http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/... ). It's obvious that Frank never indoctrinated Obama in communism. Obama didn't even know about Frank's CPUSA background! Frank was a CLOSET member who never admitted his membership in public, much less advocate communism! You have been misled. The only "house in Honolulu" that Davis had was the house at 2994 Kalihi Street, which was occupied by Davis, his wife, and five children. There is no evidence that Davis even met Dunham.

Although Obama's book indicates "Frank" was a family friend who offered him advice on racial issues, Obama wrote that Davis "fell short" and his views were "incurable." Obama's book proves that Obama did not consider Davis to be a "wise and trusted counselor," which is the standard definition of "mentor." By what creative definition can Davis be considered his "mentor"? Further, according to "Dreams," Obama visited Davis only twice on his own after visiting with Gramps: once to discuss his grandmother's bus stop incident, and three years later before leaving for college. There is no evidence that Davis discussed politics or economics with Obama, much less any evidence that he discussed socialism. There is no evidence that Obama or Gramps were even aware of Davis's CPUSA involvement. Kengor's propaganda is par for the course in the Conservative Disinformation Network Kengor previously misrepresented Davis in an earlier column for so-called "Accuracy In Media." He claimed that the NAACP's Roy Wilkins directly criticized Davis regarding the 1949 Honolulu NAACP incident. It was a total fabrication, which suggests that his research is seriously flawed.
