Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Three more words.

Kinda like what you said at ECHO10: "You want fame? The Creator of the universe knows YOUR NAME. He cares about you. God follows you on Twitter; He made a Facebook fanpage about you. You're never gonna get any more famous than that!" Like Louie Giglio said at Crowder's Fantastical Church Music Conference: "We are cosmologically insignificant... but Divinely desired." Well-done, Sir. If you don't mind, I'll be linking to this on my own blog.

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Win 5 copies of Gabe Lyons' new book.

Quite honestly... I haven't been reading as much as I should. I only get in a couple of books a year. But those couple, I might add, are ones that completely rattle my world. "Crazy Love" (Francis Chan) and "Unleashing Courageous Faith" (Paul Coughlin) are two that are done this year; working on "Everybody Wants To Go To Heaven But Nobody Wants To Die" (David Crowder).

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Today

Strangely enough... both for something they had completely committed their lives to. Makes you kinda wonder how much different things would be if all Christians were equally as sold out to Christ.

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Today

I keep seeing posts on FB today (and elsewhere) saying "Never Forget." I think another thing to add on to that is "Forgive." I'm very thankful for all of the amazing men and women serving both foreign and stateside, military and non-military (police, fire, EMTs, etc.), to keep this country safe and running. As someone who has a lot of family and friends that either have served or are serving, I am exceptionally grateful for their sacrifice.

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : What do you do for a living?

I'm blessed to be the worship pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Braunfels, TX. WOOHOO! God's been working in us even in the short time (since June) that I've been here. Looking forward to seeing what He has in store for us for the upcoming weeks and months!

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : The question we all ask.

Excellent work, yet again, Jon. Funny thing... God's been pushing the song "Everything Glorious" through my mind this entire week. It's such a constant reminder that everything that God makes is glorious... and He made me, so... :-) Thanks for another great insight.

Yet another great post! Not gonna lie, man... I didn't really know much about you before ECHO 2010, but I'm extremely thankful to have met you and see your passion for righteous living in today's world.
