Gah, you've made me feel old! I'm 33 and I always considered Sirius (in the movie) and Snape (again, in the movie) to be way older than I am. Share out a little botox love, ok?

Liz Lemon's the bomb. And I'm in my thirties and I've got two cats ;) I've been wondering about this book, yours is the first review I've read so far. I think I'll have to succumb and read it :)

I hope the view from your house was (is?) still nice, despite the fact that you can't see Russia from your window :P

You're the second book blogger that has loved this book, so now I simply must read it (and I love Victoriana & time travel, so I must love it too!). I agree with Kayleigh: the cover is gorgeous!

Heh, perhaps there's an audio version of this book so readers can remain blissfully ignorant of ALL THE CAPS? ;)

Lol, I had to look that up on Pinterest ;) It's not so bad, is it? I loved the cookies and the cakes... let's just say I wouldn't turn down a slice!

Aw, sorry to hear that you felt it was blah. We can't all love the same books, can we :s I admit it was way more about the atmosphere than the actual story. But I still lurved it!

I've only read the Hitchiker's Guide, and that was ages ago... other than that, I'm afraid of this type of cleverness :S Just like I'm 200% a Pratchett fangirl.

Ugh, not an enjoyable read at all then! I hate discovering that I don't like the book I'm reading, but I usually do plod through (especially if it's a classic. Why, oh why? Because I feel a little ashamed when I don't like a classic!) grumbling and all.

What about video games and raspberries both? :)

You always crack me up :) Yes, the tons of book blogs being the cause of an exponentially growing bookpile & hold request at the library, that all sounds familiar! :D This book is one that I would normally wouldn't pick up either, but it does sound promising. Perhaps. When my tbr list decreases a little!

I hated the doctor, HATED HIM!!! So he's been identified as TLS by many read-alongers, but a day after digesting that fact, I am still not very afraid of him. In fact, I would have kneed the guy. If Caroline won't do it...

I will do my best to forget about my frustration with this book and then start with Waters' other books feeling all Zen.

Hilarious review and oh so true! I didn't even consider the fact that doctor Faraday is obnoxious... but he is!! I don't like him much either. Unlike you, I like scary stories and as far as this one goes, it's downright boring. It can't live up to the least scary book written by Stephen King. I want something to happen. I want Caroline, Rod, their mother and most of all the doctor ripped to shreds by this horrific little stranger!
