Maurilio Amorim : This is How Traditional Retail is Going to Survive

Great post and great comments, too...Jennifer is exactly right about telling a good experience and a bad experience.. My background has always been in retail..I was manager for a Victoria's Secret lingerie store for 6 years and now work at a 35 years old family business "Kolb's Farm Store"...You hit the nail on the head with customer service...Just as "location, location, location" is to real estate..."Customer Service" is the same for retail..A happy customer will always buy more and will stay loyal (and in most cases, stay loyal, regardless of the price they must pay) Thanks for the post and happy shopping!

Maurilio Amorim : What Your Tech Accessory Says About You

If I owned an ipad, I would pick the leather (but not for those reasons~ha)...I'm a traditionalist..Leather is classic, durable and gets better with age (soft like butter:)..Plus it would go with any outfit...One in black and one in brown; like a good pair of men's shoes

Maurilio Amorim : How Generous Are You?

I don't think you missed anything..I think you nailed it...For myself, scores of verses came to mind when it comes to generosity...For the believer, it is the condition of your heart and also where your faith lies...Interesting that when it comes to money, God actually says "test me" or "try me"..Malachi 3:10-12.... A verse that sums it up for me is this.. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 "6. Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7. Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Maurilio Amorim : A New Beginning When You Least Expect

A myriad of cliques came to mind after reading this like: "Better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all"..Or.."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade"...Positive and truthful quotes, but much easier said than done..Truth is, it's hard to move on and start new chapters..It takes courage and lots of faith to let go..(Speaking from experience-this hit home)... However, there is one quote, that is a promise, that I hold close "It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not..They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3: 22-23..It's God's faithfulness to ME, not vice-versa, that allows me to keep on open heart..So thankful for His promises..He gives me the courage to jump...

Maurilio Amorim : Are You a Gracious Person? I’m Not Sure I Am

Grace may possibly come easier for a woman..To be a gracious lady is something that is taught from young and probably the most taught aspect in teaching my own two daughters..My grandmother used to say to us girls "Cultivate a soft voice, a soft answer turneth away wrath"..The older I get, the more sense that makes.. From a biblical standpoint and example, grace (as in saving grace) is the "going above and beyond"..It's not only showing mercy to someone, but then rewarding them on top of that, even knowing they do not deserve such lavish rewards (eternal life) When it comes to grace, we can all learn from Christ's example..(And is something I need to work on daily) Very nice thoughts, Maurilio

Maurilio Amorim : Friendship Blinders Could Cost You a Lot

Love this blog and I also have a name for this situation..It's called "Crossroads Theory" ..There are those pivotal points in your life that God places a person in that cross path...If you have an open mind and an open heart, that person can change the direction of your life..Pretty simple..If you take the time to listen to God's voice you will hear it...He speaks through His people... Thanks for the great Sunday thoughts
